I am an illustrator and storyteller based in Edinburgh. My pictures are bright and playful. I work in sections, making small paintings with gouache and powder inks and then later add all the fine details with coloured pencil and crayons. I then compose the sections together digitally, drawing on my iPad and collaging in handmade textures. I am also a keen printmaker. I enjoy switching on my riso brain, thinking in black and white layers. I’ve found this has influenced all my image creation and helped develop my style of rich colours, very textural with lots of fine details. 

I’m originally from West Yorkshire but have made my home in sunny Leith, Scotland, close to where I studied BA (hons) Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art - The University of Edinburgh. I work from my studio at Abbeymount, Out of The Blue.
